CHRISTMAS AT HOME.

Christmas has always been a special time for me, I love spending time with my family and eating all the sweet treats that are out all around the house. I thought I'd show you a few of the decorations I have in my room and around the house.

I decided to change my bedding for Christmas and bought a few new pillows to give it a more cosy feel. This particular bedding is from Morrinsons which I got as a present for my birthday! I got the blue and red reindeer print pillow from Primark and received the furry white pillow as a gift (sorry!) - this is actually pretty good for taking blog photos on! And of course, no bed is set without Olaf and some fairy lights and tinsel!

I have the coloured fairy lights on my book shelves all year round but decided to add a bit more tinsel and a little Christmas tree that I found when I was in Poundland. It's a really cute little tree and is so worth the money! Me and mum decided to put up a garland around the door with tons of coloured lights wrapped around it. This looks so pretty of a night and we also added a few more little bits and bobs like the doormat and teddy to get into the Christmas spirit!

Obviously, no Christmas is complete without Advent Calendars and Hot chocolates! The advent calendars are from Cadbury's and Thorntons (they're not all mine I promise!!) and this is my Harry Potter mug which I got for my birthday from my good friend Jade. I'm super excited for Christmas now, I hope you all are too!

WINTER WONDERLAND.

The other week Jade and I decided to take a trip to Winter Wonderland! I had never been before so I was super excited to see what was there to offer! We decided to arrive at around 12pm as we knew just how busy it'd get if we got there any later! I was really surprised at how huge the place was to be honest, and had a really great time so I decided to share a few snaps which I took on the day.

There were tonssss of food stalls and all of them smelt absolutely amazing. We decided to grab a pulled pork roll with stuffing and it was one of the best things I'd ever eaten! Walking around there were so many cute trinkets to buy and loads of sweets, chocolate, and cake.

As you can see from the photos, we also decided to buy some Churro's. I'd never tried them before (I know right?!?!?) and Jade was telling me just how amazing they were. She wasn't wrong! They are probably one of the best things I've ever tried, EVER. The melted chocolate was beautiful and for £5 we got 7 churro's to share.

I had a great time at Winter Wonderland and would recommend that everyone went and have a look round! The food is expensive I'm not gonna lie but it's free entry so it's worth going, even if you just want to have a look as it's amazing! It would look beautiful of a night but where it gets so busy I'd recommend going around the same time as us. If you didn't feel Christmassy before you went, you'd definitely feel Christmassy afterwards!

I'VE STOPPED BITING MY NAILS.

I have been biting my nails for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a little girl I was chewing on my nails until they were red raw. Normally I only bit them when I was feeling nervous or anxious but all the same, I couldn't stop. My family were always trying to encourage me to stop biting them, sometimes I actually did try and I would paint them but once at least one of my nails chipped I would be biting them like there was no tomorrow.

I tried everything, the horrible tasting varnish you put on, painting them and making them look pretty, everything! So how did I stop? When I was little I used to get a kind of satisfaction out of biting my nails, no idea why but I kinda enjoyed it. It was a nasty habit. Then the older I got I used to see girls (and even guys) with really nice nails and I was jealous. They could paint them with glitter and beautiful colours and designs and I couldn't. When I bit my nails down I became frustrated with myself.

One day I was on the bus and saw a young girl biting her nails and the state her nails were in. I know it doesn't sound nice at all but it really triggered something and ever since then I haven't bitten them. I'm sure you've seen over on my Instagram that I've been painting them so much more and filing them so they're in a point. It still feels weird to look at my nails and to think they're actually mine! Everyone is shocked when they see them, they all think they're fake. I'm actually really proud of myself. It's been something I've wanted to do for years now and every new year I've made it my New Years resolution but haven't had any luck up until now! I think it's all about willpower, I've probably taken up a new habit that I don't realise yet for my anxious days! But for now I'm happy with the results. It's basically the thought of 'if you want something, you really need to put your mind to it.' Nail biting to me is a horrible habit and I'm glad I got rid of it! If you put enough thought into it, you can do it!

THE SUNDAY POST.

What a weekend it's been! I've basically put too much alcohol in my system but it was so lovely seeing and catching up with friends that have been back at home for the summer! On Saturday morning we were feeling pretty rough so decided to go grab some pancakes and bacon, and as if that wasn't enough we went home watched Disney movies and ate tons of popcorn and ice cream sundaes! We done the same today of course, is there a better way to spend your weekend? I don't think so!

These next few weeks are going to be absolutely manic what with Freshers and university starting, we have to recruit new girls onto the cheerleading team which is always fun!

Hope your weekend went well guys!

NEARLY GONE PRODUCTS. #O1

It's not secret on this blog that I'm completely in love with these two products and if you've tried them before, can you blame me? Exactly. These two items have been noted on my blog more times than I can remember and I'm completely in love with them.

Bourjois' Healthy Balance Powder (£8.99) is great for getting rid of oily skin for hours at a time and this shade is the perfect one for my skin tone, this is great for me as I really suffer with oily skin as the day goes on (as you all probably know all to well by now the amount of times I complain about it!) Having dewy and refreshing skin is great and all, but oily skin is not.

My other (very very) nearly empty is my absolute favourite mascara ever, Maybelline Falsies Mascara Black Drama (£7.99). I wear this pretty much everyday just like the powder above so no wonder it's drying out. Regardless of this, it still really upsets me that it's almost gone. I literally cannot wait for pay day to buy a replacement one (and obviously a few (okay, a lot) other bits). This has so much volume it's amazing but doesn't leave your lashes looking overly clumpy and this holds a curl pretty darn well.

What products have you been overusing lately?

LEMON WATER: DOES IT REALLY WORK?

So lately I've been reading a lot about lemon water and how it's supposedly really good for bloating. I didn't see how this was physically possible as it is only a slice of fruit, how could it stop you from getting bloated? I admit, I had my doubts so I decided to go out, buy some lemons (and this adorable cup from Sainsbury's FYI (£2.50)) and try it for myself. I do usually have trouble with bloating and after trying many different things in the past (different portion sizes, peppermint tablets) with nothing working I was a bit dubious...

I decided to try it out as a drink alongside my breakfast. I'm not sure about you guys but I always get incredibly bloated whilst breaking my fast (if you get this reference, I Love you!), I think it's because I tend to cram so much in so that it fills me up for longer (this usually works). I have a sweet tooth. So naturally I eat sugary and chocolate cereals which cause you to possibly bloat more so than other cereals. When I finished my breakfast on my first day of trying lemon water, I drank this drink during and finished it after my breakfast and I couldn't believe it when I wasn't bloated. I carried it on drinking it throughout the day and was amazed that no matter what I ate (or how much of it I ate for that matter), I didn't get bloated! This drink has now become my go-to drink all day (apart from one or two fizzy drinks - I just can't resist!), I honestly didn't believe it would work and the bloating would be gone but it honestly does.

If you have problems with bloating, try this out!

A MAC WISHLIST.

After reading Corrie's post from Dizzy Brunette's blog about a MAC highlighter, it made me want to explore MAC products. I actually don't own any MAC products apart from their Studio Fix Foundation (I know, shameful for a beauty blogger), so it was nice to browse and have a look through what they do online. Most of the things that are on this wishlist are products which I've heard a lot about from other beauty bloggers, what can I say, they're obviously good at what they do!

First up is this Face and Body Foundation (£21.50), as I already have a foundation from MAC, I think trying others would be good as I like to have a variety when it comes to base products. This is meant to give you a low-to-medium coverage (which is perfect for these sunnier days) and give you a flawless finish (what's not to love!?).

MAC eyeshadow palettes is what I adore most, how gorgeous does this one look? It is incredibly pricey just for four eyeshadow shades, but they are just to beautiful to ignore. This MAC Showstopper: Eyeshadow X4 (£30.00) contains the shades Oh My Darling, Jest, Mineralism and Showstopper. The finishes are Veluxe Pearl, Lustre and Frost.

Who's surprised that there's a blusher on my wishlist? No one? I thought not. Any shade of this and I'd be happy, I love MAC's packaging as it's so simple. This is MAC's Powder Blush (£18.00) and it's not a bad price either...

I've always been drawn in by MAC's lipsticks on Instagram, every blogger posts pictures of their MAC lipstick and I can't help but feel slightly jealous. They have rows of MAC lipsticks in their collections and although they look nice, I don't understand the fascination just yet as I've never tried one. Which is why I've added one to my Wishlist! I really like this shade which I believe is called Happy-Go-Lucky (£15.00) but I can't help but think it's an awful lot just for a lipstick... It's the drugstore hoarder inside me coming out!

Last but not least, I've heard a lot about MAC's Prep and Prime CC Colour Correcting Loose (£20.00) so it made it on my wishlist and I'd love to give it a try, their primers are supposedly the best for eyes.

So there is my MAC Wishlist, what do you make of the popular brand?

TOP 10 MAKEUP BRUSHES.

These brushes have made quite a few appearances on my blog and you can't blame me, they're super soft and do their job really well and efficiently. Recently my brush collection has been growing as I've been buying more and more. I thought I'd show you which ones I tend to reach for the most as I've seen this tag flying around lately. For base products I mostly use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush, Foundation Brush, the Contour Brush (which are all part of the Real Techniques Core Collection Kit (£14.65)) and the Real Techniques Blush Brush (£7.50). I use the Buffing Brush for applying foundation, the Foundation Brush for applying concealer and the Contour brush for applying highlighter. This blush brush has been the best one I've ever bought and is in dire need of a wash but I adore it!

If I'm going for a no-makeup makeup day and I tend to choose to wear a BB/CC Cream instead of foundation then I would use the pink brush third from the right which I got from eBay (you can buy similar here), they are roughly £1.00 each from China. Another brush which I got as part of this set was the one furthest to the left, I use this for applying bronzer. I also use the one fourth on the left from the same set for swiping through my eyebrows or brushing my eyelashes through.

For eyes I use the Base Shadow Brush, the Deluxe Crease Brush and the Eyebrow Brush which are all from the Real Techniques Starter Kit (£13.50) and I also managed to find a dupe for the MAC 217 brush on eBay recently which I've fell in love with since I received it and only paid 0.99p for!

What makeup brushes do you use the most?

BOBBI BROWN WISHLIST.

Bobbi Brown has always been a brand that never fails to catch my eye, on other beauty bloggers Instagrams and Blogs I find myself constantly drooling over the makeup they have by the brand and making me wish I actually had some! So this is what this post is for, I was browsing the website the other day and decided to make a wishlist.

First up is this Limited Edition Pretty Powerful Set (£59.50) which includes everything you could possibly want for eyes, lips and cheeks. I adore the eyeshadow palette as the shades look beautiful and is it just me that's obsessed by packing of a product? Something about the simpleness of Bobbi Brown attracts me to the brand. Next is this stunning Shimmer Brick in Rose (£32.00), what I love about this is it can be used as a highlighter, blusher and individual eyeshadows if you really wanted! Still on cheeks, everyone who reads my blog knows how obsessed I am with blusher, why wouldn't I add a high-end blusher to my wishlist? This is the Bobbi Brown Blusher in Sand Pink (£19.00), it'll add a bright pop of colour to your makeup look but still leave you looking fresh and natural. As this is a matte finish, it'll look more natural as opposed to a shimmer finish.

Moving on to lips, Bobbi Brown offer beautiful shades in their lipstick and lipgloss' range. As Summer is well on the way, why not add a bright lipstick to your collection to make you feel a whole lot 'summery'? This is the Lip Colour in Neon Pink (£18.00) and is semi-matte which means not too dry but not too glossy. Just imagine this lipstick with a crisp white dress on a sunny day, perfect. Something which I've been really into lately is lipgloss. There is always one in my bag, just in case. I mean, you're never going to know when you're going to need it, right? Right. This one is Bobbi Brown Treatment Lip Shine in Petal (£18.00) and it comforts dry and chapped lips whilst also providing long-term moisturisation. As Summer also means hay-fever, lately my eyes have been getting super irritated which then results in panda eyes. Which is not a good look!! When I saw this on the House of Fraser website I was drawn in immediately by the name, it's called No Smudge Mascara (£19.00) and is long-wearing, waterproof (score!) and also curls and lengthens the lashes, all at the same time! What more could you want?

What Bobbi Brown products have you got your eyes on?

SPRING: CHEEKS.

Carrying on from my last post about Spring makeup, today I bring you... Cheeks! Everyone that reads my blog knows my obsession for blusher, I have about 3 rows of it taking up my makeup drawer (that is nearly bursting!) and I will go out of my way to buy a new blusher every time I find myself in Boots or Superdrug. What I find myself wearing most in Spring is corals or bright pinks.

First is this stunning Dainty Doll My Girl Blusher (£2.99 (I believe)) which I find is a beautiful shimmery pink which could work as both a highlighter and a blusher. I haven't wore this a lot recently as my stash is so huge but after rummaging through to find blushers for this post it caught my eye and made me realise why I bought it in the first place! Next is this Revlon Blusher in Classy Coral (£7.99), I've had my eye on the Revlon blushers for a while now after seeing gh0stparties talk about them. I've now added two to my collection and I love them both, the lasting power is amazing and I love the matte finish it gives to your cheeks. As well as going out my way to add more Revlon blushers to my collection, I've also been picking up a Barry M blusher each time I go into a store. I've already wrote a post all about Barry M's blushes but this is probably my favourite one, it's called Barry M Blusher Strawberry Whip (£4.59) and is a beautiful light pink. Sleek is a brand which I always adore but don't actually own many things from them. I've been looking at their stand waiting for more shades to be released but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon which is a shame! However, one shade from them which I adore is their Sleek Blusher in Rose Gold (£4.49) which is a really pretty coral-pink with a lot of shimmer! Last but not least is NYC in Riverside Rose (£2.99), I've been obsessing over these since I first found out that my local chemist holds their stock and I can get hold of it real easy! The only thing that bothers me slightly with these is that its really hard to close when first opened but other than that I love the shades they have especially this one in particular. It leaves a matte finish which is something I look for in the hotter months and at £2.99 for quite a big sized blush, you can't really complain!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunny weather!

Pretty Pastels

Spring is probably one of my favourite times of the year thanks to the fashion it brings with it. I've always adored pastels because they look so cute and refreshing, but I've never really gone full out on the trend. This year I plan to change that because there are so many beautiful pastel clothing out there! This Moto Floral Print Pini Dress (£36.00) is a personal favourite of mine because of the print on it, it reminds me of the sun and the cut looks very flattering. This New Look Innocent Pink Pastel Check Mini Skirt (£14.99) screams Spring. The colours are stunning and remind me of the 90s! What I love about this is that you can dress is up on an evening out or pair it with a pair of JuJu's for a casual daytime look. Seeing as Spring doesn't necessarily mean hot weather (lets be realistic, this is England...), it doesn't mean you can't be bang on the pastel trend. River Island have this adorable slouchy Light Pink Brushed Oversized Sweater (£28.00) which means that you can look good and still be warm. Lastly which I've found whilst browsing for pastel clothing are these cute Mint Green Mom Shorts (£17.99) from New Look. These shorts come in two colours (so spoilt for choice) so instead of buying just the one, why not buy both! Both colours available are super adorable and they're cheap so it'll be rude not to!

River Island have been bang on the pastel trend this Spring, these Light Grey Peep Toe Block Heel Sandals (£80.00) offer just the right amount of height to still be comfy. Dress them up or down with a pair of cute socks. Topshop are always good when it comes to jewelry, and this season is no different. These Pastel Stone Drop Earrings (£12.00) and Crochet Flower Drop Earrings (£10.00) add that little extra Spring in your outfit, making your outfit look a little cuter and adding a finishing touch. Lastly, this bag can complete any Spring outfit. This Leather Chain Strap Pouch Bag (£28.00) has an edgy snake print to it but the colour allows it to still look cute with any outfit. Pair any of these together and you'll be sure to have a perfect Spring outfit!

March Favourites

I can't believe how fast this year is going already, we're already in April which means it's time for my March favourites! I haven't done a monthly favourite in a while now as I have always missed it for some unknown reason. I'm doing it this month though and that's all that matters, right? Right.

I've been really into eyeshadow this month so I've been getting a fair bit of wear out of my Naked palette dupe, this is called the W7 In The Buff palette (£5.99) and it is so similar to the original Naked palette's. The best thing is that it's a mix of all three, there are mattes, shimmers, browns and rose golds all in one palette. All the shades are super pigmented and last a good few hours. Another good thing about this is that it was about 3/4 of the price of the Naked palette.

Another beauty item I've been loving is this Collection Blush in Bashful (£2.99), it's a super bright, warm pink shade with a tiny amount of shimmer. It really reminds me of the Clinique's Cheek Pop Blush (£16.50), whether it's just similar packaging, shape and size I'm not sure. I definitely want to get more of these, they're a perfect handbag size and really give your cheeks a natural looking pop of colour.

This Maybelline Colour Sensational Shine Gloss in Cashmere Rose (£6.19) has been the only thing I've been reaching for lately for something quick and easy to slide on my lips. I have already wrote a full blog post on the Maybelline Gloss' and if you wish to read that, then it is available here. The finish it leaves on the lips it's a beautiful, silky shine, this particular shade is a better-than-my-lip-colour colour and at the moment they are going for Buy One Get One Half Price at Superdrug, which is even more reason to buy more than one!

Whilst I was on the search in the aisles of Boots and Superdrug for a new eyeliner, I came across this one by NYC and it's the NYC High Definition Liquid Eyeliner (£2.99), it's perfect for perfecting winged liner as the nub is long and thin. It's super easy to use as it's shaped just like a sharpie and the colour is the perfect black. Out of all my eyeliners, it has been the one I reach for the most when I want to go for a smooth, thin cat eye!

Lastly in my monthly favourites is the Real Technique's Brow Brush (Starter Set: £21.99)which has been my go-to eyeshadow brush. Nothing compares to it and I've fallen for it.. It's great when you wish to go for a more natural looking eyebrows and the thistles are really soft on the skin, not irritating or making my eyebrows itch at all. It came as part of the Starter Set and I can't go a day without using it!

What have you been loving this month?

Maybelline Colour Sensational Shine Gloss

After trying to stop myself from spending anymore money on things I didn't necessarily need, I gave in and decided to buy not one, but two of the new Maybelline Colour Sensational Shine Gloss' (£6.19). I ended up buying them in Cashmere Rose and Glorious Grapefruit. Cashmere Rose is a light pink with no shimmer and Glorious Grapefruit is a peachy colour which again has no shimmer. When I look for a lipgloss I don't like them to have shimmer in as I feel like I'm back in my Year 9 days when my foundation was too dark (and also had some shimmer particles in it as well, FYI) and I wore the shiniest and the one with the most glitter and shimmer lipgloss.

I did in fact have one of these years back when they were known as Cream Gloss' as opposed to Shine Gloss which they are named under now. However, although I loved the colour, the stickiness irritated me somewhat awful. On a windy day wearing this lipgloss was your worst nightmare as when a gush of wind came your way you got a mouthful of your own hair sticking to the lipgloss. These new formulas don't do this, they do offer a high shine finish but none of the stickiness. I couldn't help myself when it come to buying just the one as all the shades Maybelline offer are gorgeous, I may have to return to their stand and one might accidentally slip into my basket...

What do you think of the new Maybelline Shine Gloss'?

Best For: Bottom Lashes

You guys know just how obsessed I am with Maybelline's Falsies mascara so I'm quite surprised myself that I'm blogging about a different mascara. Now I'm not a huge fan of this one I'll admit, for both sets of lashes I don't think it does a very good job at all. Yes, the colour is great and is really bold but it doesn't curl my lashes or give them any extra volume at all.

So, why am I blogging about this? Well, I've always found some mascaras make your bottom lashes go really clumpy and too thick so the other day I was rummaging around in my drawers and found this. One thing this is good at is making your lashes look natural but just enhanced. Putting this on my bottom lashes was simple as the wand is incredibly small, again making it perfect for bottom lash application. I normally like to stick to a small amount of products so to add another mascara when it's not really needed is a bit tedious but it looks good so I can't really complain!

Plum Lips

Even though Christmas has been and gone, Winter is still well and truly here. Therefore that doesn't stop us from wearing dark plum lipsticks! I got this particular one a way back now and I've fallen in love with the shade. This Seventeen Stay Pout Lipstick in Rule Breaker (£4.49) is a win win in my books and has quickly become my go to lipstick when I'm getting ready for a night out. It is a deep red with plum undertones and looks classy and stands out of an evening, regardless of where you're going.

It's not too matte where it dries out your lips and isn't too glossy either, it glides easily onto your lips easily leaving them feeling smooth and refreshed. Overall, I've been loving the Seventeen Stay Pout Lipsticks and definitely plan to add more to my collection!

This Week #6

Sundays simple makeup // Baby lips // Sleek matte me lips // My makeup brushes new home // FOTD //  Being naughty // Waffles! // SATC // VIVO cosmetics haul // Two new palettes

My weeks seem to get busier and busier as they progress. This week I've been worrying about uni deadlines and all the things I've got to do next week! I've tried to blog as much as I can but my schedule is so cray-cray at the moment it's ridiculous. 2014 has been great and so busy so far! Let's keep it that way!

Hope you have a good week guys!

Tresemme Salon Silk

Tresemme Salon Silk Shampoo & Conditioner available at Superdrug and Boots
£4.99 for both - on Superdrug 2 for £7 deal

University has officially started again and as you can see it's starting to take over my life once again. So sorry for the lack of blogging at the moment! The first week back is always really hectic. Anyway, on to the post! Tresemme has always been known for the affordable and professional finish it gives to your hair and if I'm honest, I'm still yet to be wowed by any of their shampoos or conditioner. I have really terrible hair, it's so frizzy and really difficult to manage so I'm constantly on the look out for a new shampoo that might actually work.

This particular shampoo and conditioner works slightly, however I wouldn't say that it leaves me with 'Salon Silk' feeling hair. After I wash it, I normally always leave my hair to air dry as it's so thick it takes forever to blow-dry it! When my hair is dry it's so frizzy it's unreal. I feel like a cavewoman!! Additionally, this is the same thing that happens when I use another one of their shampoo and conditioners. When I straighten it, it does feel slightly softer but it still hasn't impressed me.

The only reason I got this is because they were on offer in Boots, I wouldn't pay the original £5 for them as I do not believe they are worth it. Although having said this, when it comes to any shampoo and conditioner claiming that it cuts out frizz, I never think that they actually work on my hair. Maybe I just have really difficult hair!

If any of you guys find or use a Tressemme product that cuts out frizz and actually works, please let me know!

REAL TECHNIQUE DUPES

Instead of having an extremely picture heavy post all about these Real Technique dupes, I decided to split it into two halves (You can read the first half here). So for £9.99 you get this 5 Piece Makeup Brush Set from eBay and I have to say I cannot recommend these enough. If you're strapped for cash then these are a great alternative for the Real Techniques. They feel amazingly soft on the skin and apply and blend makeup really well.

They don't have names as such which is slightly annoying but you can decide to use them as you please. There are brushes for buffing foundation, setting concealer, applying powder and blush as well as a contour brush. You can choose from three colours so I decided to go for this pinky/red as it sets them apart from my actual Real Techniques. One thing that I can notice is some of the brush hair has actually come out already so I don't think they'll last as long as the Real Techniques but when you get 5  brushes for £10 you can't really complain. They're a great piece to add to makeup brush collections so I'd recommend getting your hands on them! They are from China and took around 2/3 weeks to get to me but they are worth the wait.

Have you ever tried these Real Technique dupes?

ELF Baked Blush

From left to right:
peachy cheeky, rich rose, passion pink

*wearing Rich Rose on my cheeks

As you may know by now, I'm obsessed with ELF products. I have a ton of their Studio blushes (see post here) and quite a few of their lipsticks too. I'm trying to venture out of just purchasing their blushes but they're so beautiful I can't stop myself! When I first saw a picture of these blushes, I was reminded of MAC - I'm not sure why, maybe it was the packaging and the fact that the blushes are raised but I just fell in love. I've got 3 out of the 4 shades and plan on purchasing the last one as well! Call me crazy, but they're perfect. I love the shades, I would like to think that they're very different to the other blushes I own.

They're quite pigmented but don't look cray-cray when you apply them as they don't come out very bright so you can build the colour up if you wish for a more dramatic look. They're so cheap at only £3.75 but that's like most of their products really. They're really affordable and they act like a much more expensive brand than they actually are.

I'd definitely recommend as a cheaper alternative as they look so natural on. What do you think of ELF blushes?

NYE: The Makeup

Last night I decided instead of going out with friends this year that I would stay in with my family. We ended up dancing to loud music, drinking and watching endless clips on my favourite app Vine. Even though I stayed in I still decided to do my makeup - it makes the time go quicker, any who.

I tried something a little different, not being that daring as I was actually staying in - but still a little more adventurous for me all the same. I started off by contouring and highlighting using Sleek's Light Contour Kit (£6.49). I actually really liked it as it was my first time using it, the contour wasn't too dark and it was easy to blend in and the highlight wasn't too shimmery. I also used a little bit more highlight from my Avon Ideal Luminous Highlighter just above my cheek bones. I blended this in using my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (£9.99), I have this in the shade 53 (I should have got a 52 as it's a tad too dark!) - this kept the contour and highlight in place but blended in the sharp lines so it looked more natural. I then used my Natural Collection Cover-up Cream in Fair (£1.99) for any blemishes I still had visible on my skin. For cheeks I used this beautiful shimmery pink blusher by Dainty Doll in the Shade 002. It looks frightening before you use it as it's so bright but it's quite subtle on the skin. To put that all together I used Soap & Glory's One Heck of a Blot (£12.00).

For my eyes I went for something quite drastic and done a dark brown smokey eye. I used my Revlon Palette in Addictive and the Maybelline Eyeshadow Mono in Iced Fudged. All together I think it looked okay - maybe I went a little overboard on the shimmer! I swiped a little of my MUA Eyeliner in Jet Black (£1.00) on the tops of my lids and a little on the bottom waterline and finished my eyes with the Maybelline Falsies Mascara (£7.99). I lastly applied my ELF Matte Lip Colour in Rich Red (£3.75) to finish the look and to pull it all together. Overall, I think it looked nice but I'm a bit sceptical as to whether I will do this look again! It was fine as I was in the house but maybe a little more subtle when I go out, maybe a light brown smokey eye and a nude lip. I think putting the dark smokey eye and bold lip together was a little drastic!
